Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Juan Manuel Romero is a visual artist, prolific composer, and musician. His recent paintings portraying anthropomorphic creatures from unspecified worlds reveal our tenuous relationship to our environment. Elements of graffiti and pointillist effects make for a joyful eruption of colour even when his characters appear reflective and dreamy. As a portraitist, he is also a satirist of the human condition. He has exhibited in his hometown Buenos Aires, as well as in Seoul in South Korea, New York City, and Gold Coast in Australia among others.
