Samburu is a land of wild mystery — rugged, dry, and demanding. It is a place that tests all who live here, yet beneath its harshness lies a profound beauty. Life here doesn’t just endure; it thrives in rhythm with the landscape.
On this day, I watched as a great herd of elephants made their way across a swollen seasonal river, moving steadily through the current. The light, the dust, the water — it all came together in a moment of harmony that spoke to the soul of this land.
As they walked away, I felt the power of their quiet purpose. The scene wasn’t about departure — it was about beginnings. They were inviting me, and you, to follow, to imagine where their journey might lead. It is a photograph that tells not just of elephants in Samburu, but of movement, resilience, and the enduring spirit of Africa.
