Striped Lories – Hunt Slonem

Striped Lories is an original oil painting by Hunt Slonem, presented in a black frame. Lories, the brilliantly coloured parrots of the South Pacific, are among the tropical birds Slonem has painted throughout his career.

Slonem's fast, confident brushwork and thick layers of oil paint stand up from the surface and catch the light, giving the birds a vivid, almost tactile presence. At 76 × 101 cm, this is a true statement piece: a natural focal point for a living room, dining room, office or lobby. As an original painting, it is entirely one of a kind.
