Tulips - Hunt Slonem

An original Hunt Slonem tulip painting, presented in a gold frame.

Hunt Slonem is best known for his rabbits, butterflies and birds, but the same energy runs through everything he paints. His subjects are built from fast, confident brushwork and thick layers of oil paint that stand up from the surface and catch the light.

Tulips brings that gestural approach to a floral subject. In its compact 30 × 25 cm format, it works beautifully on its own in a study, bedroom or entrance hall, or as a counterpoint to his animal works on a gallery wall.
