In a room stitched together from memory and just a bit of magic (okay, maybe a lot), I plop myself right in the middle of everything—surrounded by versions of me like it’s a one-kid costume party thrown by my subconscious.

Beside me stands the unicorn—sparkly, fabulous, and definitely way too majestic for this room. That’s dream-me. The “run off into the woods and befriend stars” version. It doesn’t say much, just vibes. Total introvert energy. It’s not inviting or rejecting—just giving off a strong "I am both your comfort animal and your escape plan" mood.

Then there’s me, the current me, hoodie up, eyes sharp. I’ve got that “I’ve seen some stuff” look. Not bitter, just...selective. My motto? I only play nice with people I love. Sounds sweet, right? It is. Also code for “I will ghost you like a Victorian spirit if you’re annoying.”

Somewhere on the floor lies the Mylo mask. Formerly worn by pyromaniac-me who thought yelling counted as emotional growth. That version was dramatic, loud, and a little too into fire metaphors. But hey, we’ve retired them. Growth! Now, I know real strength is taking off the mask without making a speech about it.

And then there’s you. Hovering near the weird glowing egg like you’re not sure if it’s going to hatch or explode. (Honestly, same.) It pulses with possibility, which is magical-speak for “touch me and you might unlock a whole emotional storyline.” But fair warning: entry into this slightly-chaotic inner universe is not automatic. The password is love. And snacks help.

This isn’t just playtime. It’s construction time. I’m building an emotional treehouse. Fortified with good vibes, killer boundaries, and just enough glitter. Only the trusted are allowed in. And yes, there’s a bouncer. It’s the unicorn. Good luck with that. - FRINGE
