Rhinos are among the most extraordinary creatures on earth — ancient, powerful, and now tragically imperiled. Whenever I photograph them, I feel an immense sense of responsibility: to capture their presence in a way that stirs emotion, that reminds us what’s at stake. Through my work, I aim to give a voice to the voiceless, to tell their story through light and perspective.

In a remote region of Kenya, I had the rare privilege of photographing these giants up close. Using a wide-angle lens, I wanted to portray their true size and strength — to fill the frame with their presence. I expected one rhino to approach, perhaps offering a single close encounter. But then, as if by design, three massive rhinos stepped forward together, forming a perfect line.

The scene was surreal — three symbols of survival, standing side by side, each step deliberate, each breath heavy with history. From behind my camera, I felt both awe and humility. The photograph that followed is not just about rhinos; it’s about endurance, protection, and hope for what remains of these ancient guardians.
